My RPS Days

The first thing I remember about RPS was my father taking me along for the interview by Ms Croning in order to be admitted to the primary school in 1952. A true surprise that came my way was a picture of me during the interview published by the CDN in their morning edition the very next day. How proud we all were, then.

The class was a truly wonderful experience with Ms Croning, in all her strictness and conformity, at the helm. We had a super bunch of boys, comprising mainly of Burghers and Muslims being the English Medium 1C Class.

My paternal Grandpa, Muhammad Sameer, used to take me along in a rickshaw every single day and sit in the circular "maids" cage for me to finish.
